The Hartford has decided to partner with PartsTrader’s parts sourcing and ordering platform and integrate it into the workflow for CRSP collision repair locations.   There is no change to the Hartford’s parts policy and, as always, CRSP partners remain committed to purchasing quality parts at a reasonable price.

When will The Hartford CRSP shops start to use PartsTrader?
Starting October 29, Hartford estimates will be automatically imported into the PartsTrader platform for CRSP shops.  CRSP shops will send out a PartsTrader quote request to all relevant suppliers in the market for all parts written on the estimate.  All parts will be ordered through PartsTrader.  As a supplier to a CRSP collision repair location, you will start to see quote requests related to jobs for The Hartford.

Why is the Hartford doing this?
The Hartford believes that the use of PartsTrader will benefit all CRSP collision repairers and their suppliers. Data shows that PartsTrader can deliver a significant reduction in part returns and time savings.

Will The Hartford be able to see my sell price?
Your sell price on non-recycled parts will not be shared with The Hartford.

How will I know if a job is for The Hartford?
Quote requests will display HRT to indicate that the job is for The Hartford.

Are there any changes to The Hartford's parts policy?
The Hartford parts policy has not changed. Repairers will continue applying The Hartford parts policy when sourcing parts via PartsTrader.

How can I best take advantage of this program?
With the on-boarding of Connecticut area CRSP shops into the PartsTrader platform, you will have additional opportunities to win new business.  Because you'll see the entire parts list, you can quote on parts business you may not have previously heard about from a phone call or fax.  When you offer more competitive quotes, you stand to win new business and gain market share in your marketplace.
