Are DRN collision repairers required to use PartsTrader for jobs from CSAA?

Yes, DRN shops are required to request quotes and order parts through PartsTrader. 

 

When does my shop need to start using PartsTrader for DRN jobs?

Beginning on May 4, 2020, your shop will be required to utilize PartsTrader to obtain quotes and order parts.   

 

Has there been a change to CSAA's parts policy?

There is no change to the CSAA’s parts policy and, as always, CSAA remains committed to completing estimates with quality parts at a reasonable price. 

Why is CSAA doing this?

CSAA has determined that the use of PartsTrader will benefit all DRN collision repairers. Data shows that PartsTrader can deliver a significant reduction in part returns and time savings when using an online sourcing platform to search and compare parts. 

Why should I participate?

PartsTrader's search and compare competitive quoting process ensures that a full range of valid parts options can be considered including price, quality, delivery time and supplier reputation. 

 

Will CSAA see my buy prices?

Your buy price on non-recycled parts will not be shared with CSAA. 





 

Will CSAA know if I am using the PartsTrader platform?

CSAA will be monitoring usage for compliance to ensure that the process is utilized by your location. 

 

Will I need to change how I currently use the PartsTrader platform?

Repairers should continue to write a competitive estimate including alternative parts before sending the quote request out from PartsTrader. 
 

I'm new to PartsTrader.  How will I learn how to use it?

Information on Training can be found at the Training tab. You can also schedule one-on-one training sessions by calling the PartsTrader Customer Care Center.

When is the PartsTrader Customer Care Center open?

PartsTrader Customer Care is open Monday through Friday, 3 am to 7 pm Pacific and Saturdays from 6 am to 1 pm Pacific.
