  1. Are CRSP collision repairers required to use PartsTrader for jobs from The Hartford?
    Yes, CRSP shops are required to quote and order through PartsTrader.
  2. When does my shop need to start using PartsTrader for CRSP jobs?
    Beginning on October 29, your shop will be required to utilize PartsTrader to obtain quotes and order parts.  
  3. Has there been any change to The Hartford’s parts policy?
    There is no change to the Hartford’s parts policy and, as always, The Hartford remains committed to completing estimates with quality parts at a reasonable price.

     
  4. Why is the Hartford doing this?
    The Hartford believes that the use of PartsTrader will benefit all CRSP collision repairers.  Data shows that PartsTrader can deliver a significant reduction in part returns and time savings by not having to make multiple phone calls to source parts.
  5. Why should I participate?
    PartsTrader's search and compare competitive quoting process ensures that a full range of valid parts options can be considered including price, quality, delivery time and supplier reputation.
  6. Will The Hartford see my buy prices?
    Your buy price on non-recycled parts will not be shared with The Hartford.

     
  7. When does this start?
    October 29.
  8. Will The Hartford know if I am using the PartsTrader platform?
    The Hartford will be monitoring usage for compliance to ensure that the process is utilized by your location.
  9. Will I need to change how I currently use the PartsTrader platform?
    Repairers should continue to write a competitive estimate including alternative parts before sending the quote request out from PartsTrader.
  10. Can I get additional information on the changes?
    Information on Training programs can be found at the
